High-end hotels & restaurants

Une Saison en France works mainly with a network of hotels, restaurants, estates and houses of character across France.

Places where you can learn from passionate professionals and discover French savoir-faire in demanding yet caring environments.

Main roles
  • Kitchen & pastry
  • Restaurant service
  • Sommelier
  • Front desk
  • Valet / Housekeeping

Most of these houses are outside Paris, in the regions.

Your internship becomes much more than work experience: a way to discover France from the inside, at the pace of a region, a house and its teams.

From produce to plate

Fresh produce, a craft to learn.

In the kitchen, the dining room or behind the bar, you discover quality produce and the skills of those who work with it: cheese ageing, market gardening, mixology.

  6. Preparing to leave

Your local partner helps you with the visa process when a visa is required.

Frequently asked questions

Before you get started.

Do I need to speak French?

An A2 level of French is required to join Une Saison en France. The expected level depends on the role, especially in the dining room, as a sommelier or at the front desk, and on the establishment. We discuss it during the interview.

Can I choose my region?

Of course, you can share your preferences. I then look for establishments that match your profile, dates and project.

Is accommodation included?

Yes. For hotel and restaurant internships, accommodation is guaranteed.

For internships in other fields, we also look for accommodation that suits your situation. If the establishment does not provide it, I personally help you find the best option near your workplace.

How long can my internship last?

The length depends on your internship agreement and your situation. An internship in France can last up to six months.

How does payment work?

The support fee is paid in two instalments, at the stages defined when you register. Payment details are sent to you with your quote.
